Being offered this fascinating opportunity to immerse myself in the world of mental health for several months, I thought about the aspects of my practice that relate to this subject. In many of my performances I have staged social situations that are known to most of us, amongst which a waiting room, a sales booth and several situations in which bartenders or hostesses appeared, roles played out by actors. In these situations, a familiar social pattern was followed up to a certain extent, but by scripting the actors the social pattern was broken.
