They Live In Us (I Am A Very Detailed Person)
Sylvie Zijlmans & Hewald Jongenelis our exhibition “They Live In Us (I Am A Very Detailed Person)”, with new ink-drawings and a preview of the short film “They Live In Us” will be on show from September 25 till October 25 in the Beautiful Distress House in Amsterdam.
In 2019 we stayed for three months in the Beautiful Distress residency in Kings County Hospital in New York. The works in the exhibition are based on our experience of working with patients and staff of the hospital.
Because of the film-screening the exhibition is only open after sunset: on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 20:00 h till 22:00 h.
The Beautiful Distress House is open in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines. -don’t come to our show if you have symptoms -while visiting respect the 1,5 m distance -although the exhibition is spacious, there is limited acces.
